🚀 Ground Control Software Engineer (Aerospace | Autonomous Flight Systems)

We’re partnering with an innovative engineering team building next-generation electric flight and autonomous aerial systems, and they’re looking for a Ground Control Software Engineer to help shape how these vehicles are monitored, controlled, and operated from the ground.

This role centres on developing sophisticated operator-facing software platforms that act as the command hub for advanced aircraft handling real-time telemetry, mission planning, and system health monitoring in safety-critical environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and build ground-based control software for real-time monitoring and command of autonomous aircraft
• Develop interfaces for telemetry visualisation, mission planning, and vehicle interaction
• Implement reliable communication between airborne systems and ground infrastructure
• Collaborate with avionics, flight control, and systems teams for seamless integration
• Support verification and validation activities across simulation and live test environments

What They’re Looking For:

• Strong experience in real-time or safety-critical software development (aerospace, robotics, or similar)
• Proficiency in C++, Qt/QML, and modern UI frameworks
• Experience with telemetry systems, networking protocols, and control interfaces
• Familiarity with certification-driven development processes, including DO-178C
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills
