Dissertation and Research Lead

Job Purpose:

A leading higher education institution is seeking an experienced Dissertation & Research Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership across undergraduate and postgraduate Business, Management, and Finance programmes.

This senior academic role oversees the full dissertation lifecycle, leads research ethics and quality assurance in line with UK and local standards, and contributes to teaching across research methods and related modules.

The postholder will play a key role in strengthening research culture, supporting accreditation requirements, and ensuring excellence, integrity, and consistency in academic research.

Key highlights:

• Strategic oversight of UG & PG dissertations and supervision allocation
• Leadership of research ethics processes and institutional ethics committee
• Delivery of high-quality teaching at UG and PG levels
• Strong engagement with QA frameworks, UK academic benchmarks, and local accreditation standards

About you:

• PhD in Business, Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience in leading dissertation coordination within UK higher education
• Strong knowledge of research ethics, quality assurance, and academic governance
• Proven ability to manage complex academic processes and influence across teams
