Chief Technology Officer

CTO – AI Infrastructure & Cloud Platforms

We are partnering with a fast-growing, investment-backed technology platform to appoint a CTO to lead the build-out of next-generation AI and GPU cloud infrastructure. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping the company’s technical strategy and scaling its engineering capabilities.

You will drive the development of high-performance AI clusters, working closely with partners, clients, and internal teams to deliver cutting-edge infrastructure that supports large-scale model training and inference.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of GPU clusters, leveraging technologies such as NVIDIA GPUs, NVLink, InfiniBand, RDMA, and optimizing distributed training performance.
• Architect scalable AI infrastructure platforms, covering compute, storage, and networking layers for LLM, GenAI, and deep learning workloads.
• Optimize infrastructure performance vs cost, including GPU utilisation, workload scheduling, and strategies such as spot instances, autoscaling, and resource right-sizing.
• Build and scale the AI infrastructure team, including solutions architects, network engineers, and platform engineers, while setting technical standards and best practices.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of AI infrastructure projects, managing vendors, hyperscalers, and ecosystem partners, while ensuring strong security, data privacy, and compliance frameworks.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced qualifications are a plus).
• Extensive experience (~10+ years) in cloud infrastructure, data centres, or high-performance computing environments.
• Strong expertise in AI infrastructure, GPU clusters, and distributed systems.
• Proven track record in leading technical teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across regional teams and external partners.
