We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to support the development, governance, and distribution of private markets products across multiple asset classes. The role sits within the products function and works closely with investment, legal, compliance, distribution, and external partners.
Role objective
The role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle for private markets strategies, including product design, implementation, governance, and ongoing monitoring. The position also contributes to product strategy execution, market positioning, and platform efficiency across private credit, private equity, funds of funds, and infrastructure.
Key focus areas include:
- product development, design, and implementation across private markets
- execution of product strategy and roadmap
- support for market positioning and distribution
- product governance and ongoing monitoring (performance, costs, fundraising)
- contribution to an efficient and scalable product platform
- market, competitor, and regulatory analysis
- support for partnerships where relevant
Key responsibilities:
Responsibilities will vary depending on seniority and profile. Core responsibilities are expected to include:
- owning and supporting a holistic product process from business case development through planning, budgeting, and implementation
- coordinating effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- supporting the design and execution of the product strategy and roadmap across asset classes
- supporting ongoing monitoring and oversight of regulatory and governance requirements
- facilitating and contributing to the european product committee
- producing and maintaining market intelligence covering competition, regulation, pricing, and trends
- owning or supporting product cost and budget monitoring
- contributing to continuous improvement of product governance, controls, and documentation
regulatory considerations
Formal regulatory registration or approval (e.g., conducting officer in luxembourg or smcr in the uk) is not required for the role, but relevant regulatory exposure is considered an asset.
Experience requirements
- minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial products, product development, or product specialist roles, preferably within private markets
- strong understanding of private markets products, structures, and set-up, with particular relevance to luxembourg-domiciled vehicles
- legal or structuring background relating to private markets products is strongly preferred
- cross-functional experience spanning products and distribution is an asset (institutional, wealth, or wholesale channels)
Skills and capabilities
- strong commercial mindset with the ability to assess product viability, margins, and competitive differentiation
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for client-facing and non-technical audiences
- strong analytical capability, including cost and margin modelling and data-driven decision-making
- highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders across functions
- ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-asset, and multi-jurisdictional environment
