Devops Engineer

• Initial 12 month assignment

Green Light Australia are looking to engage a Devops Engineer to design and implement operations environments within our cloud division. The nominated DevOps Engineers will as part of a larger team of Devops technical professionals which will be responsible for the realignment of existing services into a multi-platform cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high quality software and have good understanding of DevOps practices. You will be part of a growing team of devops professionals working in a multi-platform environment across AWS, Linux & VMWare environments.

This role does require an active baseline clearance. Australian Citizens that either currently hold a minimum of an AGSVA baseline clearance or happy to attain one can proceed. Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

• To design and develop solutions, building cloud-based products
• Provide comprehensive consultation for cloud-based environments
• Implement rigorous testing procedures and ensure security is designed to meet compliance standards
• Develop documentation and security controls

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years in a similar capacity as a Devops Engineer
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions for corporate and enterprise customers
• Experience automating across complex, multi-platform environments - AWS, Linux & VMWare
• Strong core implementation – VPCs, EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, ELB & serverless development – Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, StepFucntions
• Proficient with Python for orchestration and integration
• Proven experience administering and or building large scale cloud deployments.
• Automation provisioning, configuration and deployment infrastructure utilising IaC tools - Terraform, YAML, Ansible for automation
• Experience with vRA (and other VMWare based automation) is highly regarded
