Information Security Officer (GRC & Projects)

At Gorenje d.o.o., we are inviting a proactive and organized Information Security Officer (GRC & Projects) to join our team and take on a key role in strengthening our information security.

This position is focused on leading and coordinating cybersecurity projects, managing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives, and ensuring adherence to international standards and regulations. You will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders.

Work Location: Ljubljana (BTC), with occasional travel to Velenje where is HQ Hisense Europe

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, lead, and coordinate cybersecurity projects from conception to completion.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework and associated tools and solutions.
• Establish and maintain the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with the ISO 27001 standard.
• Collaborate with external providers and internal teams to ensure the effective implementation of security solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical and user documentation for security policies, standards, and processes.
• Educate key users and promote cybersecurity awareness throughout the company.
• Provide support for internal and external audits and proactively manage compliance (e.g., NIS2, GDPR).

Education and Work Experience:

• VI. or VII. level degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Security, or another relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in managing IT or security projects or working in a GRC-related role.
• Desired professional certifications include CISM, CRISC, CISA, PMP, PRINCE2, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.

Desired Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of information security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT).
• Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., NIS2, GDPR).
• Experience with project management methodologies.
• Ability to prepare clear and concise technical and business documentation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas.
• Active knowledge of the English language.
