The role
The Test Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing data collection activities for new vehicle projects and facelifts in VP and TT phases. The role ensures alignment with GL/AVART, timely material delivery, and adherence to test methods while supporting ongoing tests at Hällered and onsite for our client. You will also maintain test documentation, equipment, and material availability to meet project milestones.
Responsibilities
Data Collection Management
- Ensure all required data collection is completed for new vehicle projects and facelifts.
- Align with GL/AVART on required datasets.
Planning & Coordination
- Update and align data collection time plans with test locations and PROSAFE.
- Coordinate test start, scope, material delivery, vehicle availability, and SW delivery.
Test Documentation
- Create and regularly update test requirements.
- Develop and maintain test matrices in alignment with GL.
- Ensure “test methods document” is always up to date.
Material & Equipment Handling
- Order VP/TT materials via TOCC/SMO and follow up on deliveries.
- Inspect and maintain leg impactors, misuse objects, and supplier equipment.
- Manage storage and availability of materials at EFFEKT.
On-Site Test Support
- Support ongoing data collection at Hällered and onsite for our client.
- Ensure tests are performed according to defined methods.
- Provide and support test equipment from suppliers and client.
- Book mechanical help, vehicle transportation, and coordinate destructive tests.
- Share logs with suppliers for calibration accuracy.
Crash Test Support
- Provide and support reference equipment during crash tests.
- Address SW and DTC-related queries in crash test scenarios.
Reporting & Communication
- Update risk/issues/progress to the team on daily basis.
- Collaborate closely with Hällered rig/track test teams and test drivers.
Experience / Background
- Valid Swedish Driver’s License B.
- Willingness to drive daily between our client in Torslanda and Hällered.
- Strong skills in data analysis and fault tracing.
- Ability to adapt quickly to data logging tools.
- Solid understanding of test methods and matrices.
- Willingness to complete T1 course for Hällered.
- Excellent collaboration skills with test drivers and rig/track teams.
- Strong task prioritization and organizational skills.
- Flexible work hours based on test driver availability.
