Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting an Electronics Engineer – Illumination & Power Outlet to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.
The Role
As an Electronics Engineer – Illumination & Power Outlet, you will be part of the Illumination & Power Outlet team within the Client’s Interior System department. The team is responsible for developing innovative interior solutions such as Wireless Phone Chargers (WPC), USB, 12V power outlets, interior lighting, switches, and overhead consoles.
You will join a cross‑functional team with strong competence in hardware, software, testing, and lead engineering, working in a fast‑paced and evolving technological environment focused on enhancing driver and customer experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as HW responsible within development projects
- Lead hardware and electronic development in close collaboration with suppliers
- Ensure suppliers meet defined technical requirements and deliver high‑quality products
- Create and manage electronic requirement specifications
- Evaluate hardware performance in test rigs and actual vehicles
- Support and participate in testing activities
- Contribute to packaging discussions to secure required space in future vehicles
- Work closely with the Project Leader, Software Responsible, and Test Engineer within the team
- Collaborate with multiple interfaces across the Client organization, including: Interior, Design, EMC, Ergonomics, Electrical Performance, Perceived Quality, Vehicle Engineering.
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of electronic hardware development
- Experience in electronic requirement management
- Knowledge of product validation in both lab and vehicle environments
- Understanding of cross‑functional development in automotive projects
Experience (Desirable)
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical education
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in electronic development
- Experience from the automotive industry is meritorious
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Valid Driving License B (Sweden)
