Job Opportunity: Backend Developer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on, passionate technologist to drive Engineering Excellence across our Software Security platform. You will deliver high-quality code and designs across cross-functional teams, help move from costly vendor platforms to open-source, cloud-based solutions, and build our own products and services at scale. This role requires strong engineering discipline, curiosity, and openness to new technologies.

Location: Cracow, hybrid model (office visit 6 times per month)

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship production-grade code in Python (Django), Node.js (Typescript/NestJS), and optionally Go.
• Architect solutions on GKE, optimize PostgreSQL queries, and design event-driven architectures with Pub/Sub.
• Own the lifecycle of services on GCP, ensuring resilience, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Design and manage OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows.
• Translate business opportunities into technical solutions and continuously improve processes.
• Mentor teammates and foster communities that raise engineering standards.
• Implement automation from the start to reduce toil and accelerate secure delivery.
• Stay current with technology trends and guide the engineering community.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Python and/or Node.js with proven production experience.
• Experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Filestore) and Terraform.
• Strong backend skills; T-shaped engineer with full-stack awareness.
• Security-first mindset with knowledge of zero-trust models.
• Ability to design scalable, secure backend services with high-performance components.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to tackle challenges across multiple domains.
