School Cashier

This position is responsible for the integrity of the student fee revenue cash collection process relevant to tuition fees and/or any other activities at the school with cash handling involved, such as school trips, admission procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Register all cash receipts and payment transactions by using the prescribed format and transfer them to the prescribed cash statement.
• Check the book balance and tally it with the physical cash.
• Prepare cash statement daily and tally it with the physical cash.
• Maintain receipt documents, bills, statements and other documents since they are deemed to be in his custody.
• Write, and fill in the receipt and cash vouchers completely and systematically including date and sequence number.
• Deposit the surplus money into the bank and maintain the supporting deposit papers.
• Shall not pay any money either instalments or bills settlement unless they are approved.
• In case any cash or receipt voucher is cancelled the original copy as well as other copies should be kept and their numbers be entered in proper sequence in the cash statement, but they should be mentioned in the appropriate box as cancelled.
• Assist in the bank statement reconciliation process.
• Invoice segregation per class per room for PUE Schools, place them in envelopes and deliver them to school secretaries.
• Receive payments and issue receipts.
• Follow up outstanding amounts and prepare statements for PUE Schools.
• Deposit cash and checks in bank and reconcile credit card usage on daily basis.
• Enter all receipts issued on ERP on daily basis.
• Update the excel file receivables with details of receipts on daily basis.
• Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
