Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goals.
- Create engaging, visual, and interactive user experiences that are accessible
- Perform usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback and data.
- Present ideas and designs and explain rationale to senior stakeholders
- Document design decisions and update the relevant style guides to support the implementation of designs
- Own the design and experience of the product you are working on, whilst ensuring the Lead Product Designer has oversight
- Continually keep yourself updated with the latest UI and UX changes in the industry and bring this back into your designs
- Supporting the Product Design Team with the day-to-day activities
- While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA's Consumer Duty principles, thereby contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.
About You
- Ideally 3 years+ experience as a Product Designer
- Understanding of user-centered design methodology
- UI & UX design experience across mobile and web
- Understanding of Information architecture and interaction design (sitemaps, workflows, navigational flows)
- Experience creating wireframes and prototypes
- Understanding of user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design solutions
- Creation and maintenance of design systems and pattern libraries for consistency and scalability
- Ability to communicate your ideas in a clear and effective manner to both expert and non-expert audience
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross functional team
- Experience using tools such as Figma, Adobe CS, Miro
- Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5 and CSS3
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 standards for Accessibility
- Understanding of online usability analysis tools
- Reports to the Lead Product Designer
- Occasional travel may be required
- The successful candidate will be client focused, self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient
- The candidate will need to understand and subscribe to 7IM’s mission and tenets and in particular the Code of Conduct
