Job Summary

We are seeking a Cisco Network Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Cisco-based network infrastructure across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, security, and wireless systems, to ensure reliable and secure network performance.

Key Responsibilities

• configure, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Implement and support network security policies using Cisco security devices , Manage DNAC.
• Monitor network performance using tools like Cisco Prime, NetFlow, and SNMP, and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for internal use and compliance.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems.
• Provide on-call support for network-related incidents and ensure rapid resolution.
• Stay updated with the latest Cisco technologies and industry best practices, and recommend improvements to the network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ASA, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching (VLANs, STP, Layer 3 switching), and network security.
• Experience with Cisco security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and identity services (ISE).
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco devices using CLI and Cisco Configuration Professional.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification.
• Experience with wireless networking (Cisco Aironet, WLC, MSE).
• -Good to have Experience with network automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Python.
• Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid network architectures will be advantageous
