Head of Information Technology

Our Client:

A new-age higher education institution in Dubai, currently in its build phase, focused on delivering a modern, digitally enabled academic environment with a strong emphasis on technology-led learning and operations.

Your Role:

This is a build role, not a maintenance role. You will establish the full IT and digital ecosystem from the ground up — covering infrastructure, academic systems, cybersecurity, and campus technology.

Working closely with leadership, you will ensure the institution launches with integrated, scalable, and secure systems that support academic delivery, student experience, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

-Build and own the end-to-end IT and digital infrastructure for the institution

-Implement core platforms including LMS, Student Information Systems, and CRM

-Ensure integration across academic, admissions, finance, and administrative systems

-Establish secure and scalable cloud, network, and infrastructure environments

-Lead cybersecurity, data protection, and governance frameworks

-Oversee digital learning tools including hybrid classrooms and assessment platforms

-Implement and manage digital library and academic resource systems

-Set up IT operations, support services, and helpdesk functions

-Manage vendor selection, procurement, and system implementation

-Drive long-term digital and technology strategy aligned with institutional growth

Must Have:

-8–10+ years of IT leadership experience

-Proven experience building or managing enterprise IT environments

-Exposure to higher education systems (LMS, SIS, academic platforms) preferred

-Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems integration

-Experience managing vendors and multi-system implementations

-Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a build environment
