Senior Developer, Mobile

Location: Toronto, Canada (Remote/Hybrid)

We are looking for a Senior Developer, Mobile to design, build, and deliver high-quality mobile applications that support key business initiatives. You will play a key role in developing modern mobile experiences while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications
• Build responsive, performant, and user-friendly mobile interfaces
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable solutions
• Contribute to mobile architecture and technical design decisions
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance optimization
• Support application releases to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Troubleshoot platform-specific issues across iOS and Android
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release automation
• Ensure adherence to platform standards and best practices
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, QA, and backend teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
• Perform code reviews and uphold development standards
• Mentor and support other developers on the team
• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts
• Contribute to backend services when needed (e.g., .NET / C#)
• Ensure secure and efficient data communication
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Participate in occasional after-hours support for critical incidents
• Identify performance issues and implement improvements
• Stay current with mobile development trends and technologies

What You Bring

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of software development experience
• Strong experience building and delivering mobile applications
• Experience working with modern mobile frameworks and tools
• No formal management experience required (mentorship is an asset)

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in mobile application development (cross-platform or native)
• Familiarity with:
• iOS (Swift)
• Android (Kotlin)
• Experience with mobile app release processes (App Store & Google Play)
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices
• Working knowledge of .NET / C# APIs
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms
• Experience with API tools (e.g., Postman)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
