Network Engineer

Position: Network Engineer

Compensation: $58 - $63 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud networks
• Configure routing and switching for campus and data centers
• Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation
• Monitor network performance and capacity
• Troubleshoot complex network issues
• Configure and manage firewall policies and VPNs
• Collaborate on security and compliance requirements
• Support cloud networking and automation tasks

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years in a network engineer role
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Nexus Switches
• Strong understanding of core networking protocols
• Experience with VLANs, routing design, and high availability

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Cloud networking experience with OCI, AWS, or Azure
• SD-WAN experience
• Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
• Certifications like CCNA and CCNP
