The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Hr Generalist to join our team. This role is approx. 15 to 20 hours per week which can be completed over a flexible 2-3 day work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Support a Positive Workplace Culture

  • Promote a friendly and supportive work environment
  • Recognize and celebrate employee milestone achievements
  • Monitor employee morale and address culture concerns within the business when necessary
  • Promote wellness and wellbeing initiatives for our employees


Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate recruitment for new hires from starting point to onboarding.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation for each new hire is created
  • Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience
  • Work with Management team to understand staffing needs


Develop People & Skills

  • Identify training needs and organize development programs
  • Develop succession plan for key areas of the business
  • Support performance reviews and goal-setting
  • Help employees grow in their roles


Employee Relations & Support for Management Team

  • Act as a point of support for managers with concerns over staff performance/behaviour issues
  • Ensure workplace issues are dealt with fairly and proactively in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Point of contact for employees to raise queries or concerns
  • Advise managers on people-related decisions
  • Support and implement organizational changes and improvements


Manage HR Operations

  • Maintain HR policies, employee records and employee handbook to ensure compliance with employment legislation
  • Manage internal HR system to ensure compliance and accuracy with employee leave and timekeeping data
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws as they are being introduced
  • Assist with uploading employee information for monthly payroll run


Experience & Skills Required

  • 2 plus years HR experience, ideally in a SME or Manufacturing business
  • Industry standard HR Qualification with up-to-date knowledge in Employment Law
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills; capable of building strong connections with all employees across the business
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
