Senior iOS Engineer

About the role:

We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join 2Coders Studio in our Gran Canaria and Tenerife offices, to take our native iOS applications, used by millions of users, to the next level. In this role, you will work closely with our front-end team to explore new ways for our top-tier clients to engage with technology, delivering world-class experiences across Apple devices — from smartphones and tablets to Apple TV and beyond.

Your main activities will be:

• Work on custom projects and in-house products of international scope, mainly in the video streaming sector.
• Get involved in all project stages: analysis, estimation, documentation, coding, bug fixing, and support.
• Keep open communication with the team and customers.
• Cooperate with our Solution Architects to ensure the solution delivers the required quality.
• Cooperate with other team members to write software based on backlog items.
• Cooperate with testers to ensure they are engaged and ready to test the software at the right time in the development cycle.
• Get stuff done and take a proactive approach to work.
• Assume responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of the apps.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Passionate and experienced iOS developer who is up to date with the latest iOS news from Apple.
• Strong experience with Swift 5 and the foundational iOS frameworks is essential, proven iOS Development experience with consumer facing apps.
• Strong experience using Xcode and SwiftUI.
• Experience with more complex yet efficient app architectures.
• Strong experience with writing modular and reusable views and techniques for building apps that support different layouts for iPhones, iPads and Apple TV.
• Software design patterns and Native App Development best practices.
• Trialing, testing, and adopting new technologies.
• Strong experience with diagnosing and debugging issues.
• Great understanding of memory management and optimization techniques.
• Experience with dependency management tools.
• Deep knowledge of Apple’s human interface guidelines, design best practices, coding and naming guidelines.
• Experience with all the usual stuff (multi-threading, integration with REST APIs, view animations, custom transitions, etc…).
• Experience in TDD and testing suites.
• Experience in managing CI/CD and participating hand by hand with the DevOps engineer.
• Experience with Git.
• Deep understanding of agile practices.
• English language proficiency.
