We are looking for a full-stack Software Engineer who can contribute across the product — building new features, improving existing systems, and helping the team work more efficiently. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes ownership of getting things done.

You will work across our stack (PHP 8.2 / Laravel 10), Node.JS, Golang, and React frontend (React 18 + TypeScript + Vite), and AWS infrastructure, contributing directly to production code while helping improve workflows, documentation, and processes. We hire for attitude and ownership over perfect technical mastery.

About The Role

At Newrich we provide e-learning, turn-key solutions, and mentorship for digital entrepreneurs. Our core offering is a hybrid SaaS + educational platform + social network.

We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager with strong hands-on experience in React and PHP to lead a small team of engineers. The role is approximately 50% team management/project leadership and 50% hands-on coding, so you'll need to be confident both in guiding others and in rolling up your sleeves to contribute to development when needed.

Experience with AWS (or a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure) is highly desirable.

Requirements

• Drive the technical roadmap for the team in close collaboration with the PM and the product roadmap.
• Manage and improve systems to maintain high service availability for our customers.
• Act as the glue for execution (organizing sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) to foster effective collaboration with the company
• Mentor, support, and grow a team of :5 engineers
• Lead by example with high-quality contributions in React and PHP, Typescript, and Golang
• Maintain a healthy team culture characterized by trust and psychological safety.
• Collaborate with Recruiting to grow the team
• Coordinate resolution of production incidents
  
  

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of experience managing small teams of engineers.
• 5+ years of software development experience, including strong hands-on skills with React and PHP, Typescript, and Golang
• Experience building SaaS products.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure best practices (strong plus)
• Experience building or designing any of the following systems: social networks, messaging applications, ERP systems or CRMs
• Proven track record leading diverse and distributed teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (advanced degrees a plus)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment with ambiguity.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.

We provide a competitive salary range for this role - which is 120,000 - 160,000 CAD - depending on level and experience. Please note this range is intended as a guide, not a guarantee. Final compensation will be based on individual qualifications, relevant experience, and the scope of the role.
