About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated developer to take ownership of the LiDAR room scanning journey within our client's organization. This pivotal role involves enhancing the quality, accuracy, and stability of the LiDAR-to-portal pipeline, which is essential for delivering precise 3D models and seamless mobile scanning experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire end-to-end process of LiDAR data capture, processing, and rendering, ensuring continuous improvements and innovation in the system. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on advanced spatial data technologies and contribute significantly to the company's AI-driven solutions. The role requires a proactive mindset, technical expertise, and a passion for developing innovative 3D spatial applications.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in developing mobile applications utilizing LiDAR technology. They should have hands-on expertise with Apple’s RoomPlan, ARKit, and LiDAR APIs, demonstrating a deep understanding of spatial data capture and 3D model reconstruction. Proficiency in Swift and native iOS development is essential, especially in workflows involving LiDAR integration. Experience with React Native, including bridging native modules, is also required. Additionally, candidates should have a solid understanding of 3D rendering concepts and familiarity with 3D engines such as Three.js or similar frameworks. A background in working with spatial data and transforming it into accurate, usable 3D room models is crucial. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the end-to-end LiDAR scan journey, focusing on mobile capture processes.
• Develop and optimize 3D room reconstruction techniques using LiDAR data to generate precise models.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within existing LiDAR and 3D implementation workflows.
• Proactively implement enhancements to systems, avoiding reliance on legacy solutions and ensuring scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LiDAR solutions into broader applications and workflows.
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy, system stability, and user experience throughout the development lifecycle.
