Java Software Engineer

Salt is currently hiring a Software Engineer for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

The candidate would need to have kvk/zzp and it is paying around 100 euros per hour.

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable applications in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in Java and/or Perl
• Strong experience with Linux, MySQL, Git
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and AWS
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software applications
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices
• Ensure application quality through testing and continuous improvement
• Manage end-to-end ownership of services, including deployment and production support
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, security, and data integrity
• Contribute to system design and architecture decisions
• Identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions
