Senior/Lead Shopify Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior/Lead Shopify Engineer who will be responsible for the overall technical implementation of Shopify Plus/Shopify e-commerce software solutions.

The ideal candidate should have several years of experience managing Shopify project development and understand best practices.

Responsibilities


  • Analyze and interpret business requirements to ensure alignment between customer expectations and application design
  • Collaborate with project managers to plan, develop schedules, gather requirements, prioritize, and manage project deliverables from a technical perspective
  • Collaborate with UX/creative designers to ensure Shopify best practices are applied in UX and design processes
  • Convert design files into clean and efficient liquid templates (an open source template language created by Shopify and written in Ruby)
  • Utilizing best practices of web standards, semantic UI markup, structured stylesheets, and efficient JavaScript
  • Ongoing support for team members


Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience in building Shopify Storefronts and Shopify apps
  • 1+ year of experience with React framework
  • 1+ year of experience with modern web markup including HTML5, CSS3+, and preprocessors
  • 2+ years of experience with Shopify inventory, shipping rates, discounts, and other relevant Shopify store data
  • Deep understanding and experience with Shopify Plus
  • Deep understanding of Shopify data model
