AI Automation Specialist

Mid-senior position | Full-stack | Full-time | On-site @Ljubljana

About the role

We want to become an “AI-first” company, so we’re looking for an AI Automation Specialist who is also a full-stack developer experienced in building with AI-assisted coding tools.

You will be among our first 10 team members.

You will build solutions that improve efficiency at our company.

We’re building web apps from scratch using technologies including React, Next JS, NestJS, Prisma ORM with PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker…

You will automate real operational workflows across marketing, sales, and operations - your work will directly replace manual work done by teams.

It will be hectic, but also fun and rewarding.

You will be a key figure in shaping the company's early culture and processes.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor and grow into a leadership role as the company expands.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and implement AI-powered automation workflows
• Build intelligent pipelines using LLMs and modern automation tools
• Integrate multiple systems via APIs, webhooks, and custom logic
• Identify manual processes and transform them into scalable automations
• Create AI agents that handle tasks, decision-making, or data processing
• Monitor, optimize, and improve automation reliability
• Document workflows and maintain clean, understandable logic

Requirements

• Essential:
• Experience with:
• AI agents
• RAG or knowledge-based AI systems
• Workflow orchestration
• Prompt engineering
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• At least 1 year of experience in a developer role
• Must be fluent in using AI-assisted programming
• Experience with building AI automation workflows
• Comfortable working in ambiguity, adapting to changes and wearing multiple hats
• Ability to identify ideal software and integrate it into the company’s workflow
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently without constant oversight
• A lot of drive, energy, and time.
• Ability to use and implement the latest AI tools in your work
• Ability to work from our office in Ljubljana city center
• Comfortable experimenting with new AI tools
• Bonus points:
• Previous startup experience (especially early-stage)
• You are based close to Ljubljana (or willing to move)
