Launch Leader – Body & Exterior (C‑Shop)

Scope of Role

As a Launch Leader – Body & Exterior (C‑Shop), you will be responsible for leading and coordinating launch activities related to Body & Exterior components within the C‑shop during the industrialization and production ramp‑up phase. You will be part of a multi‑disciplinary Launch Team within Vehicle Engineering, working closely with counterparts covering other vehicle areas such as Interior, Chassis & Climate, and Vehicle Engineering Software. The role requires strong cross‑functional collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, logistics, and plant launch teams to ensure a flawless launch.

This is an international assignment starting mid‑2026, with the role based in Gothenburg while providing dedicated support to the team in Košice, Slovakia, for a period of approximately two years.

Responsibilities

• Drive and manage the successful launch of vehicle programs into the new production facility
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure alignment on timelines, deliverables, and launch readiness
• Act proactively to support problem‑solving activities, including Interim Containment Actions (ICA) and deviation handling
• Lead and support product issue resolution ahead of key milestones, such as audits and handshakes
• Support and contribute to the Fault Report process during launch phases
• Handle launch‑related activities and forums in close collaboration with plant and program stakeholders, including Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Launch, Procurement, Logistics, and other Launch Leaders
• Actively participate in program status follow‑ups to stay aligned on content changes, deviations, risks, and action plans
• Communicate clearly and transparently with all relevant stakeholders throughout the launch phase
• Contribute with product and process knowledge within the Body & Exterior area to secure production stability and quality

Knowledge / Experience

• Proven experience working as a Launch Leader or similar role within vehicle programs
• Strong project management skills and hands‑on experience from industrialization and launch phases
• Solid understanding of product development processes and Body & Exterior systems
• Good understanding of C‑shop production and assembly processes
• Strong system knowledge of part structure, build structure, and deviation handling
• Ability to act decisively and take quick actions in dynamic, high‑pressure environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills
• Team‑oriented mindset with excellent networking and collaboration abilities
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to work on an international assignment for the duration of the project
