As a Data Science Product Owner, you will be a part of a dynamic team that owns and drives data science and analytics products in Garanti BBVA.

You will be responsible for maximizing the value of data products by aligning business needs with data science capabilities. You will work closely with data scientists, data engineers and stakeholders to define, prioritize and deliver impactful data-driven solutions.

You will:

• Own and manage the Data Science product backlog and prioritize it in line with business goals
• Define product vision and roadmap for data science and analytics use cases
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements
• Work closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure effective delivery
• Continuously prioritize features based on business value and impact
• Monitor product performance, adoption and business outcomes
• Gather feedback from stakeholders and iterate on products accordingly
• Ensure alignment between business strategy and data product development
• Remove blockers and facilitate smooth execution of product initiatives
• Contribute to building a data-driven culture and ways of working
• Support alignment with data governance and data quality principles
• Communicate product progress and impact to senior stakeholders

How do we describe the perfect match?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, MIS or related fields
• Experience in data, analytics or technology products (preferably Data Science / Analytics)
• Experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or similar roles
• Experience working with technical teams (data scientists, data engineers)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong prioritization and decision-making abilities
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear product requirements
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies (especially Product Owner role) is a plus
