Work Package Manager – High‑Tech Radar & Sensor Software Engineering

About Us

Alten Nederland supports leading high‑tech organizations in developing advanced radar and sensor technologies used in integrated defence systems. These systems range from compact, mobile radar solutions to highly sophisticated long‑range sensors capable of detecting small objects at significant distances.

Within our software division, the Radar Core Processing (RCP) department is responsible for the software that controls sensor behaviour and manages digital signal processing. Multidisciplinary teams collaborate closely with system engineers and sensor specialists to design and build complex, real‑time systems.

About the Role

As a Work Package Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of this engineering improvement program on time, within budget, and at the required quality level. You will coordinate multiple projects within the work package, create and maintain project plans, and steer a distributed team of engineers based in the Netherlands and Romania.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing planning, execution, and delivery of the work package
• Coordinating a cross‑border engineering team
• Ensuring alignment with technical stakeholders and senior management
• Reporting progress, risks, and mitigation plans
• Driving consistency and best practices across software engineering activities

This role offers the opportunity to shape and elevate the software engineering environment for complex, mission‑critical radar and sensor systems.

About You

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven project management experience in high‑tech or engineering‑driven industries
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills
• Knowledge of software development tools and practices; familiarity with Bazel is a plus
• Experience managing projects using Jira
• Experience with Agile software development methods
