Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced Golang or Kotlin Developer to join an ongoing cloud-native project. The role involves building and maintaining scalable backend services in a modern distributed architecture, leveraging public cloud technologies and event-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang and/or Kotlin
• Work in a cloud-native environment (primarily Google Cloud Platform)
• Design and implement scalable, event-driven architectures
• Integrate and work with messaging systems such as Kafka
• Collaborate within Agile / Lean development teams
• Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Golang and/or Kotlin development
• Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka
• Familiarity with Agile / Lean software development methodologies
• Experience using AI tools in development workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Good command of English and Finnish

Nice to Have

• Experience with Vertex AI or other AI/ML cloud services
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)
• Exposure to networking domains (IP / MPLS or similar)
• Experience improving engineering practices and development processes
