Senior Front-End Engineer (React/TypeScript) - AI & Agent Workflows

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to help build modern customer journeys in Danske Bank's Financing Businesses Tribe as we move toward a more agentic software development lifecycle.

This role is well-suited for an experienced React engineer who enjoys taking ownership, working closely with Product and UX, and being at the front of how AI changes software development. We are looking for someone who is keen to move early, experiment in practice, and use AI to improve speed, quality, and engineering leverage.

About The Role

You will join our Front-End Chapter and help shape customer-facing web experiences from idea to production. Your focus will be React and TypeScript, while collaborating effectively across design, architecture, back-end, and CI/CD, with the help of AI.

Our Tech Today

Our current setup includes React, TypeScript, REST APIs, Jest, Playwright, GitHub Actions, Docker, OpenShift, and Camunda. We prioritize accessibility, performance, and responsible use of AI in engineering workflows, and we want to keep raising the bar on how AI is used in day-to-day development.

About The Team

You will work in the Financing Businesses Tribe, where cross-functional squads partner closely with Front-End, Cloud, UX, and business specialists. We build modern internal and customer-facing solutions in one of Danske Bank's core business areas.

You will:

• Build modern React applications with TypeScript, with a strong focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability
• Work with Product and UX to clarify requirements, review designs, and make good technical trade-offs
• Be responsible for features end-to-end, including API collaboration, testing, observability, and delivery
• Use AI tools, prompts, and agent workflows purposefully and responsibly to reduce manual work, improve quality, and speed up delivery
• Help identify where AI can improve how we build software and turn that into practical workflows the team can use
• Contribute to shared front-end libraries, engineering standards, and technical discussions in the Chapter
• Support colleagues through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
  
  

About you:

• Strong experience building and evolving single page applications with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript
• Solid skills in HTML, CSS, accessibility, and front-end architecture
• A good understanding of testing, code review, and maintainable engineering practices
• Experience working with APIs and collaborating across front-end and back-end boundaries
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines and modern Git-based workflows
• Good judgment, clear communication, and a sense of ownership
• Strong AI mindset: you are an early mover, you learn new tools quickly, and you regularly explore ways to apply AI in real development work
• Practical AI literacy: you can write effective prompts, review outputs critically, and use AI tools responsibly in daily development
• It is beneficial to have experience working with a BPMN system like Camunda or a willing to learn
• Advanced English skills in both written and spoken
  
  

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3680 EUR to 5520 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
