Full Stack Developer (Node.js)

My client based in Dublin is currently on the lookout for a Fullstack Developer (Node.js) to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of new features and end-to-end applications on the platform
• Maintenance and support of existing platform systems
• Front-end and back-end development, including API integrations with third-party systems
• Upgrading existing platform features using modern, state-of-the-art technologies
• Configuring platform functionality to support varying business requirements
• Scoping and designing technical solutions to business problems
• Supporting digital transformation and automation initiatives across the business

What you’ll be working on

• Building backend systems using Node.js and NestJS
• Working with agentic software development, including building LLM-powered agents
• AWS cloud services, including AWS Lambda and AWS Amplify
• Developing frontend components using Vue.js
• React.js knowledge is an advantage but not required
• Working with relational databases, particularly MySQL
• Test-driven development (TDD) using frameworks such as Jest or NUnit
• Collaborating with product designers and stakeholders to gather and refine technical requirements
• Building new features or end-to-end products using well-designed, testable, and efficient frontend and backend code with responsive UI
• Writing clean, maintainable code aligned with industry standards and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proven experience as a Node.js developer
• Experience with agentic development (LLM agents), using tools such as OpenAI Codex and Claude Code
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
• Experience with relational databases, data modelling, and MySQL
• Experience with Vue.js, jQuery, or equivalent frontend frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in an agile environment
