Our client

Our client is a leading data platform provider in the Benelux, specializing in product and article information across industries such as hardware, tools, construction materials, paint, and automotive. They enable suppliers, procurement organizations, and retailers to centrally manage, standardize, and optimize product data.

Through a Data-as-a-Service platform, raw supplier data is transformed into high-quality, structured product information. Continuous innovation is key, with AI playing an increasingly central role in improving data quality, efficiency, and scalability.


The role

As an AI Specialist, you will design and implement AI-driven solutions that form the backbone of the client’s next-generation platform. AI is not just a supporting tool—it is fundamental to how data is processed and utilized.

You will reshape data workflows, ensuring AI is applied in a reliable, scalable, and responsible way. Working closely with teams across data, IT, and product, you will act as the go-to expert for AI within the organization.


Tasks & responsibilities

  • Design and implement AI models for classifying, normalizing, translating, and enriching large volumes of product data;
  • Integrate AI into workflows to optimize and automate data processing pipelines;
  • Develop validation mechanisms and governance frameworks (including human-in-the-loop approaches) to ensure high-quality and reliable AI output;
  • Drive internal AI adoption by training, coaching, and advising colleagues on practical AI applications;
  • Act as a strategic advisor to management on AI-related topics and contribute to long-term AI vision and decision-making.


Your profile

  • Proven experience developing and implementing AI and machine learning solutions in a business environment;
  • Strong technical skills, with hands-on experience in Python, modern AI frameworks, and LLM APIs or open-source models;
  • Ideally you already have experience within a Product Organisation;
  • Solid understanding of data structures, data quality, governance, and ethical AI practices;
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Proactive, independent, and forward-thinking mindset with a focus on improving processes
  • Curious and eager to learn, to stay up to date with all developments in AI,with a willingness to share knowledge across teams;
  • Fluency in Dutch is a must.
