We are now looking for an experienced software developer who is passionate in developing our client's next generation infotainment system based on Google’s Android automotive OS. About the Role

As an Android Infotainment Developer, you will be doing software development in application and native layers of AOSP stack for the infotainment system. You will collaborate with UX designers and other development teams to define a coherent end-to-end solution. You will take part in the entire software development lifecycle, including design, architecture, documentation, development, verification and validation. You will stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of technology.


Responsibilities

  • Software development in application and native layers of AOSP stack for the infotainment system.
  • Collaborate with UX designers and other development teams to define a coherent end-to-end solution.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including design, architecture, documentation, development, verification and validation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices.


Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Software Engineering or at least 5 years of relevant experience.


Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience in Android app development (Java/Kotlin).
  • Knowledge of AOSP and the AOSP build system.
  • Familiarity with modern Android architectural patterns such as MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
  • Experience working with traditional Android UI frameworks.
  • Experience in Jetpack Compose is beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of Android testing practices, including:
  • Unit testing (JUnit, Mockk)
  • Instrumentation and UI testing (Espresso)
  • End to end testing frameworks, where applicable
  • Comfortable working in a Linux-based development environment.
  • Experience with Python scripting.
  • Expertise in version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with Gerrit for code review and collaborative development.


Preferred Skills

  • Previously worked on Automotive infotainment products or large scale embedded Android platforms.
  • A Swedish B driver’s license is considered as a strong advantage.
