We are looking for a 3D Puzzle Level Designer to join our mobile game team.
In this role, you will design, build, test, and iterate levels directly in Unity using our internal level editor and 3D editing tools. You will focus on creating fun, clear, well-balanced, and engaging 3D puzzle levels with strong attention to player flow, difficulty pacing, progression, visual readability, and overall gameplay experience.
The game includes a simple eat & grow-style core mechanic, so familiarity with 3D spatial puzzle design, object-based level setups, 3D scenes, scene composition, and mobile player behavior is highly valuable.
Responsibilities
Design and implement engaging 3D puzzle levels in Unity.
Build level flows with clear player guidance, pacing, and progression.
Work with 3D scenes, models, prefabs, object placement, scale, and scene composition.
Create visually clear and readable level layouts that support the gameplay experience.
Set up 3D environments with a good understanding of visual hierarchy, spacing, composition, and object readability.
Collaborate with the art team to ensure levels are visually polished, consistent, and aligned with the game’s style.
Balance difficulty curves, completion time, and overall level experience.
Test, playtest, and iterate levels based on feedback and data.
Create and maintain level design documentation and sheets.
Collaborate with game design, development, art, and product teams.
Deliver new levels rapidly while maintaining quality and consistency.
Contribute new level ideas, layout variations, and gameplay improvements.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in level design and/or game design for mobile games.
Strong hands-on experience with Unity Editor and custom level tools.
Solid understanding of 3D scenes, models, prefabs, object placement, scale, composition, and scene setup.
Good sense of 3D visual design, readability, player focus, lighting, camera framing, and visual polish.
Familiarity with 3D art workflows, environment setup, scene dressing, and mobile-friendly asset usage.
Strong understanding of casual, hybrid-casual, puzzle, or arcade-style mobile games.
Ability to design level flow, pacing, difficulty curves, progression, and player guidance.
Analytical and iterative mindset, with the ability to improve levels through feedback, playtests, and data.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Portfolio showing mobile game levels, Unity scenes, 3D layouts, or gameplay design work.
