Business Intelligence Analyst – Workforce Planning

I'm seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support a workforce planning and resource capability program within a large, operationally complex organisation.

This is a hands‑on analytics role, suited to someone who enjoys building practical planning tools that are actively used by leaders to make workforce and resourcing decisions.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building workforce and resource planning models
• Developing Power BI dashboards and reports for operational and strategic use
• Building forecasting and scenario analysis to support workforce decision‑making
• Working with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into usable insights
• Ensuring data accuracy, integrity and consistency across reports and models
• Supporting adoption of tools through clear documentation and pragmatic guidance

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Analyst / Analytics‑focused role
• Hands‑on capability in Power BI (dashboard design, data modelling, transformation)
• Advanced Excel skills, including forecasting and scenario modelling
• Experience working with workforce, resource or capacity data
• Comfortable working independently in a delivery‑focused environment
• Clear communication skills — able to explain insights to non‑technical audiences

Experience in the water, utilities, infrastructure or other asset‑intensive sectors will be highly regarded.

This role is ideal for someone who wants ownership of their work, enjoys practical problem‑solving, and prefers building solutions over writing requirements.
