THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented developer for challenging work on Android apps with millions of downloads. In this role, you will help our R&D team create, code, test, and maintain various Android apps. You will work closely with other developers and QA testers, using the Agile methodology and a quality-first approach.

Requirements

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Core Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of experience developing Android applications, with high proficiency in both Java and Kotlin.
• Deep SDK Knowledge: Practical experience with Android SDK functionalities, including SDK version migrations, complex permission handling, and background processing.
• Modern & Legacy Stack: * Expertise in current libraries: Coroutines, Glide, Retrofit, OkHttp.
• Comfortable maintaining legacy codebases: RxJava, AsyncTasks, and XML-based Views.
• UI/UX Mastery: Proficient UI programming skills with a keen eye for detail and performance optimization.
  
  

Next-Gen Development & AI

• AI-Augmented Engineering: Proficient in using AI development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate refactoring, debugging, and feature parity tasks.
• Agentic Programming: Familiarity with agentic workflows and the ability to integrate AI "agents" into the development lifecycle or application features.
• Tooling: Expertise with Android Studio, Git, and the Firebase suite.
  
  

Experience & Process

• Proven Impact: Direct experience developing and maintaining an app released on Google Play with 100,000+ downloads.
• Agile Mindset: Familiarity with Kanban management and a high degree of adaptability.
• CI/CD (Advantage): Familiarity with Continuous Integration pipelines and automated deployment.
  
  

Communication & Soft Skills

• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English.
• Pragmatism: The ability to balance cutting-edge AI experimentation with the stability required for a large-scale production app.
