We are currently seeking a

Embedded C/C++ Software Developer (Linux) (m/f/d) in Product Development

Key responsibilities include programming detector, embedded, and application software, as well as developing new product software for testing and operational support

Scope Of Responsibilities

• Collaboration in all phases of new product development and launch: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototyping, testing, supplier and customer interface definition, production launch, production support, and production optimization, as well as service support
• Development and maintenance of production software and the production database
• Development of new product software, system software, and test software
• Development and establishment of a simulation and test infrastructure to minimize dependence on hardware availability
• Close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team for requirements definition and design
• Ensuring product reliability through close cooperation with suppliers and failure analysis of complex electronic/digital imaging systems
• Participation in the selection, qualification, and evaluation of new suppliers (FAI process) in coordination with the respective departments involved (QA & R&D)
• Verification and validation in accordance with the design process, as well as the creation of designs using software development methods to ensure reliability throughout the product development lifecycle
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Technical Computer Science / Embedded Systems / Computer Engineering (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diploma) or comparable qualification; ideal focus: Embedded Software, C/C++, Linux, hardware-related development
• Several years of comprehensive professional experience in the areas of software programming, software design, and simulation tools is required
• Ideal focus: Embedded software, C/C++, Linux, hardware-oriented development
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems development as well as working with Linux and Windows platforms and network protocols, including sockets, TCP/UDP, and IP
• Project experience across all project phases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English (minimum B2 level)
• Desirable:
• Programming skills in Python, Java, SQL
• Experience working in an ISO 13485-certified environment
