Data Scientist (ML/AI & Data Engineering)

📍 Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid role)

📅 Contract: 12 Months with further extensions

🗣 Language: English and Dutch (Mandatory)

Overview:

We are looking for a Data Scientist with strong expertise in Machine Learning, AI, and Data Engineering to join a leading organization in the Netherlands.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working end-to-end—from building advanced ML models to deploying scalable data solutions in a cloud environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and optimize ML/AI models for real-world applications
• Work with large-scale datasets using PySpark and Databricks
• Design and maintain ETL pipelines and data transformation workflows
• Implement NLP and LLM-based use cases (prompt engineering, AI solutions)
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions
• Support MLOps / LLMOps including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with PySpark and Databricks (Unity Catalog, Jobs, Pipelines)
• Experience working with Azure Cloud (including Azure AI Search)
• Solid understanding of machine learning, NLP, and LLMs
• Experience with data transformation, ETL pipelines, and large-scale data processing
• Familiarity with MLOps / LLMOps practices
