We would like to meet an Android Developer for a hybrid project based in Porto, Portugal.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new features and, when required, new Android applications.
• Maintain and evolve existing and future Android apps.
• Participate across the full development and delivery lifecycle.
• Perform code reviews and ensure high code quality standards.
• Write and maintain unit tests.
• Collaborate on defining and implementing robust and scalable Android architectures.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering technical growth within the team.

Requirements:

• Strong experience developing Android applications using Kotlin (preferred) and/or Java.
• Mastery of the Android SDK and Android development tools (Android Studio, Gradle).
• Deep understanding of Android UI/UX principles and Material Design.
• Experience with modern Android architectures (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Components.
• Experience with networking (Retrofit) and data handling (JSON, XML).
• Experience with local data persistence.
• Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with performance testing and profiling.
• Understanding of Android application lifecycles and Google Play Store publishing.
• Good level of French.
• Experience developing banking or payment applications.
