Postdoctoral Fellow

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Postdoctoral Fellow located in Slovenia at the Jožef Stefan Institute. The project will focus on the synthesis, structural and magnetic characterization, and high-pressure studies of novel compounds for high-temperature superconductivity.

The position offers the opportunity to work in a young, collaborative, and diverse research environment with access to state-of-the-art synthesis and characterization facilities.

The successful candidate will engage in developing and testing innovative synthesis and characterization methodologies, analyzing data, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals, mentoring students, and preparing project reports.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field
• Good understanding of crystallography and materials characterization techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Welcome, not mandatory: experience with high-pressure techniques
• Fluency in English
