We are looking for a full-time Network Engineer, Infrastructure. As a key member of the Technology team, you will be reporting to the Team Leader, Infrastructure Services. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of our network infrastructure. This role is requires balancing a security-forward approach to network and firewall management while always keeping our internal clients’ experience a top priority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and execution of upgrades, maintenance, and security patching for switches, load balancers, and NGFW firewalls, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to established change management policies.
  • Monitoring, identification, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of network connectivity issues and outages across the entire environment.
  • Palo Alto NGFW policy analysis and governance, maintain and implement security policies, NATs, routes, and traffic flows, security profiles (e.g., Threat Protection, URL Filtering, DNS Security, Wildfire), and Global Protect VPN
  • Configuration and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches, Meraki wireless controllers, NetScaler load balancers, VLANS, MPLS, DHCP, DNS, and NPS.
  • Close collaboration with the Information Security team and SOC to support security incident response, remediation, and RCA.
  • Analyze and recommend potential technology implementations to aid in modernization and network evolution.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • A university degree in a related field or equivalency.
  • Relevant professional designations (PAN Network Security Professional/Specialist or PCNA/PCNSE, and CCNA/CCNP are preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in an enterprise network administration, engineering, or operations role. Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment is considered an asset.
  • 3-5+ years hands-on experience with end-to-end management and administration of both virtual and physical high-availability Palo Alto NGFW firewalls, including Global Protect VPN
  • 3-5+ years of strong experience configuring and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure including L2/L3 Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, Citrix NetScaler load balancers, and Meraki wireless controllers
  • Schedule flexibility to participate in after-hours network maintenance and respond to network-related emergencies.
  • Deep understanding and practicable knowledge of core networking technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, LAN/WAN, VPN, NTP).
  • Working knowledge of; VMWare/Hyper-V virtualization, Windows server administration, Powershell/Bash scripting would be an asset.
  • Discretion, confidentiality and attention to detail are essential.
  • A team player who takes initiative and works well independently.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
