The Head of ECommerce Business Performance is responsible for owning the end-to-end performance narrative across Traffic, conversion, and sales, ensuring that all markets and channels operate with an aligned, forward-looking view of the business. This role consolidates insights, forecasts business outcomes, and drives cross-functional action. It is a business enablement position designed to improve decision-making, accelerate execution, and strengthen accountability across the e-commerce organisation.
Responsibilities:
A. Forecasting & Business Modelling
- Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational forecasts for traffic, conversion, and revenue by market and channel
- Build scenario-based models (“what if acquisition drops / site speed improves / stock gaps occur”)
- Integrate inputs from Marketing, CRM, DXDC, Business Planning, and Operations into a single cohesive business model
- Identify early signals of risk or upside and escalate with clear recommendations
B. Business Performance Monitoring (Daily / Weekly)
- Build and maintain a unified KPI framework across the funnel (See → Find → Buy → Repeat)
- Track performance across markets and channels with a focus on leading indicators, not only outcomes
- Detect deviations early and translate them into clear business insights
- Partner closely with Data / BI to ensure dashboards, metrics, and definitions are consistent, reliable, and actionable
- Own the performance narrative for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews
C. Action-Driving & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Ensure every insight is translated into clear actions, owners, and timelines
- Challenge teams constructively and drive execution when needed
- Follow up until initiatives are delivered and quantify their impact
- Ensure alignment across Paid Marketing, CRM, Merch Planning, CRO, UI/UX, Product, and Operations
- Maintain a single source of truth across all business forums
D. Governance & Business Rhythm
- Co-led the weekly e-commerce performance meeting
- Prepare insights and action frameworks for monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Ensure forums focus on root causes and decisions, not reporting
- Track the contribution of initiatives to revenue and conversion targets
- Support cross-functional alignment for high-impact corrections and key commercial moments
Requirements:
- 8 years in ECommerce or retail, retail analytics, or a related role
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, multi-country digital business
- Proven capability in forecasting, modelling, business analysis, or digital performance optimisation
- Familiarity with GA4, Looker, PowerBI, SFCC, Amplitude, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of ECommerce KPIs: traffic mix, bounce, CVR, funnel depth, AOV, CLTV, CAC, MER
- Ability to structure information, build models, and interpret data with clarity
- Comfortable challenging teams diplomatically to ensure results
- Strong business intuition (knows what matters most), structured and analytical
- Confident communicator; able to influence without authority
