About The Company

At Engine by Starling, we are on a mission to find and work with leading banks all around the world who have the ambition to build rapid growth businesses, on our technology. Engine is Starling's software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, the technology that was built to power Starling, and a year ago we split out as a separate business. Starling has seen exceptional growth and success, and a large part of that is down to the fact that we have built our own modern technology from the ground up. This SaaS technology platform is now available to banks and financial institutions worldwide, enabling them to benefit from innovative digital features and efficient back-office processes that have contributed to Starling's success.

Our technologists are at the very heart of Engine and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment focused on building innovative solutions, creating new features, and leveraging disruptive technology to stay at the forefront of fintech. We operate a flat organizational structure to empower our team members to make decisions independently, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Support is readily available within our open culture, ensuring that team members find guidance and assistance from colleagues across the business. We believe that success is a collective effort, and our environment encourages shared knowledge and teamwork.

The key to thriving within Engine is to be a self-driven individual capable of taking full ownership of your work—from designing and building to discovering and sharing insights. We emphasize delivering high-quality results that meet our customers' needs, driven by our core values: Listen, Keep It Simple, Do The Right Thing, Own It, and Aim For Greatness.

About The Role

We are seeking passionate and talented iOS Engineers to join our team at Engine by Starling. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our award-winning platform, which serves millions of customers worldwide. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and expanding our existing iOS applications, ensuring they operate seamlessly for banks across the globe, as well as building new features from scratch that have not yet been released in the UK market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that improve user experience, security, and functionality.

Our engineers are excited about delivering new features and improvements regardless of their primary tech stack. We value individuals who are eager to make an impact, care about high-quality code, and are committed to creating reliable, user-centric mobile applications. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex problems, participate in collaborative decision-making, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology platform.

This is a dynamic role that offers the chance to be part of a scaling organization committed to transforming banking for good. You will be expected to own your projects, contribute to team discussions, and continuously seek to improve both your skills and our products.
