Your new role
As a User Interface Designer, you will be embedded within a cross-functional squad focused on delivering and optimising a white-label mobile app solution across multiple brands. Acting as the UX/UI lead for your project stream, you will own the end-to-end experience for one of the organisation’s apps, ensuring user needs are championed at every stage of the design process.
You will collaborate closely with Visual Design, Content, Service Design, Brand and Delivery teams to create high-quality, consistent and accessible digital experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end UI design across mobile app journeys
- Translating user, business and technical requirements into intuitive design solutions
- Creating user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs (lo–hi fidelity)
- Facilitating workshops and design sessions with stakeholders and squads
- Ensuring consistency through adherence to digital experience guidelines and design systems
- Measuring design effectiveness using usability and customer experience metrics (e.g. SUS, CSAT)
- Embedding accessibility best practice, including WCAG AA compliance
- Maintaining clear documentation of design decisions and research insights
This is a contract opportunity with a hybrid working model, including weekly collaboration days in a Sydney-based office (Barangaroo).
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in UI design within digital product or delivery teams
- Strong understanding of end-to-end processes and design frameworks
- Proven experience designing responsive web and/or native app experiences
- High proficiency with Figma and Miro
- Experience working in Agile and mixed delivery environments
- Strong workshopping, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- A data-informed approach to design and problem solving
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Experience within large enterprise environments or sectors such as Telco, Financial Services or Retail will be highly regarded.
