Software Test Engineer with German

Position overview

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our Randstad Digital Romania team for a specialized project. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our enterprise solutions, focusing on complex end-to-end business processes that integrate the SAP landscape with modern mobile and web applications.

Your main focus will be to validate seamless workflows across multiple integrated modules, ensuring high software quality through both functional and explorative testing. Additionally, you will identify and document software discrepancies using structured bug-tracking systems, ensuring every issue is rigorously tested and resolved to meet our high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual functional and non-functional testing, including explorative sessions, to ensure enterprise-grade software reliability.
• Validate end-to-end business processes across integrated SAP modules and modern mobile/web interfaces.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle, providing structured bug reports and performing rigorous regression testing.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including detailed results, procedures, and quality metrics.
• Analyze complex system integrations to identify potential edge cases within the SAP ecosystem and digital applications.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• ISTQB certification (or equivalent) is required.
• Deep knowledge of target systems and business processes.
• Strong analytical skills to structure defect reports and identify root causes.
• Proficiency in Jira and Xray for test management and defect tracking.
• Technical knowledge of Mobile and Web platforms using Java, Kotlin, Angular, and iOS.
• Experience with offline-capability testing for mobile maintenance applications, focusing on data synchronization and conflict resolution (plus).
• Mandatory fluency in German.
• Strong proficiency in English (speaking & writing).

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (MM, SD, CS, FI, CO, PM), SAP Fiori, and SAP BTP.
