Senior Network Engineer

Join the Global Network Operations Team to support and maintain the network and security infrastructure across multiple sites in Japan. This role involves troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing network devices, ensuring adherence to corporate security standards, and collaborating on global and local projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 troubleshooting and operational support for global network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLAN, NAC, Firewalls, Proxies, VPNs, and Partner Connections
• Monitor and maintain approximately 200 network devices across 11 offices/branches and a data center in Japan
• Coordinate with global IT teams and local infrastructure departments on network-related projects and operations
• Manage vendor interactions, equipment procurement, and circuit management for network upgrades and decommissions
• Support Firewall operations, including rule checks and log analysis
• Oversee Network Access Control (NAC) solutions and wireless access points
• Maintain inventory and documentation of network devices and configurations
• Respond to network issues and requests via a ticketing system
• Perform after-hours and weekend support for planned projects or urgent issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science (or related field)
• 2-3 years of experience as a network engineer in a large enterprise environment
• Hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and configuring WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPNs, Firewalls, and Proxies
• Knowledge of routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, MPLS) and Cisco LAN/WIFI technologies; Palo Alto Firewall knowledge is a plus
• Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
• Familiarity with ITIL processes
• Fluency in English and Japanese, with strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and work collaboratively in a global environment
