Full Stack Developer (Java Microservices) – Wealth & Private Banking

About the Opportunity

We are hiring a Full Stack Developer to be part of a large-scale digital transformation program within a leading financial institution in Singapore.

You will join the Wealth Management & Private Banking Channels Technology team, working on platforms used by Relationship Managers (RMs), advisors, and high-net-worth clients.

This initiative focuses on modernizing legacy systems (.NET) into a next-generation Java microservices architecture, enabling faster, scalable, and API-driven digital banking capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and contribute to migration of legacy .NET applications to Java microservices architecture
• Design and develop full stack applications (backend + frontend)
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Develop solutions supporting wealth management digital channels (RM tools, client portals, advisory platforms)
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Ensure systems meet banking-grade performance, security, and compliance standards
• Participate in Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Support system integration, testing (SIT/UAT), and production releases

What We’re Looking For

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot / Spring Cloud)
• Experience building Microservices & API-driven architectures
• Frontend experience in React / Angular / modern JavaScript frameworks
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, API integrations

Transformation Experience (Key Requirement)

• Prior experience working with .NET (C# / ASP.NET)
• Hands-on involvement in application migration / modernization projects

Database & Tools

• Experience with Oracle / SQL / NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps)
• Exposure to Docker / Kubernetes (preferred)

Domain Experience (Highly Preferred)

• Experience in Wealth Management / Private Banking / BFSI domain
• Exposure to:
• RM (Relationship Manager) platforms
• Wealth advisory / portfolio management systems
• Client-facing digital channels (web/mobile platforms)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Wealth platforms
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka / MQ)
• Understanding of security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, SSO)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)
