Life on the team
As an HR Specialist for Belgium & the Netherlands (BENE), you play a broad and impactful HR role. You are responsible for several business areas, acting as the key HR contact for these populations.
You operate at a tactical and operational level, supporting line managers with day‑to‑day HR topics while contributing to regional HR projects. You are part of a regional HR team, working closely with the HR Manager and regional leadership, and you collaborate with an international HR community of experts in people and organizational development.
You understand the business, speak the language of managers, and translate HR policies and legislation into clear, practical, and business‑focused advice.
What You Will Do
As an HR Specialist, you will:
- Act as HR business partner for business areas within BENE
- Support regional leadership and line managers on operational and tactical HR matters
- Provide hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle
- Advise on employment law, policies, procedures, and industrial relations
- Implement group HR standards and policies and ensure local compliance
- Ensure alignment with Belgian and Dutch labour legislation
- Support and deliver local, regional, and international HR projects
- Build trusted relationships and gain credibility at all levels of the organization
- Balance project work with day‑to‑day operational priorities and deadlines
- Identify, challenge, and improve HR processes where needed
- Stay up to date with legal and commercial developments impacting HR
- Collaborate closely with internal HR colleagues to provide a consistent and integrated HR service
- Act as a flexible, reliable, and proactive team player
What You Will Need
You are a motivated HR professional who enjoys working close to the business. You bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or similar
- At least 2 years of HR experience, ideally in a fast‑paced commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of employment law and its practical application
- Business‑driven mindset with sound commercial awareness
- The ability to adapt, influence, and support change
- Solution‑oriented and advisory approach
- High levels of confidentiality and professionalism
- Dutch as your mother tongue and professional English
