Senior Software Engineer (Python)

We are looking for a Hands-on Python Developer to drive the development of a self-service data platform. This is not a Data Engineering role; we are looking for a Software Engineer to build the engine and tooling that data engineers use to create data marts. Think of it as building an "Office Suite" for data user-friendly, scalable, and highly automated.

What you’ll do

• Build DataKitchen v2: Evolve the core platform to give users maximum flexibility in designing, operating, and scaling their workflows.
• Core Engine Enhancement: Use solid OOP Python skills to implement smart data processing, comprehensive validation, and performance optimizations.
• CI/CD & Automation: Extend and improve GitHub Actions pipelines to support customer workflows and enhance the developer experience.
• Infrastructure as Code: Develop and refine Terraform modules to deploy user models and supporting assets onto Databricks.
• Power BI Integration: Create a seamless "paved road" for publishing platform-built models directly into Power BI.
• Product Quality: Take ownership of the full lifecycle from proactive refactoring and testing to maintaining reliable documentation.

What we’re looking for

• You are a developer at heart, focused on clean, maintainable code and robust system architecture.
• Expert-level OOP Python skills with a passion for testing and optimization.
• Proven experience with Azure Cloud and Databricks (specifically platform integration, not just data processing).
• Proficient in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) and GitHub Actions.
• Ability to prioritize user-friendliness and platform stability. Note: We are not looking for Data Engineering or Ansible-heavy profiles.
• Fluent in English; capable of onboarding customers and explaining complex technical choices.
• NL residency (no relocation).
