About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Developer specializing in PHP to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of our proprietary ERP (CMR) system, which is vital for managing our business operations. Your primary focus will be on expanding system capabilities by creating new modules, developing seamless interfaces, and automating workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy. You will work closely with various internal departments—including sales, procurement, accounting, and logistics—to understand their technical needs and translate them into effective system solutions. Additionally, your expertise will help optimize existing processes, analyze system performance, and contribute to the digital transformation initiatives of the company. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, along with practical experience in PHP development. Proficiency in PHP version 7.4 or higher, preferably with frameworks such as Symfony, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of database management systems like MySQL or MariaDB, as well as front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience working with REST APIs, JSON data formats, and cron jobs is required, along with familiarity with Linux server environments. An understanding of business processes in trade, particularly ERP and CMR systems, is advantageous. The candidate must be capable of working independently, with a structured and solution-oriented approach, and possess good communication skills in German, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Continuously develop and maintain our internal ERP system based on PHP 7.4+ to ensure stability, security, and performance.
• Create new modules, develop interfaces, and implement automation features to support daily business operations effectively.
• Integrate external systems such as online shops, supplier portals, and third-party services to streamline data exchange and process automation.
• Analyze existing workflows, identify areas for improvement, and document system functionalities for future reference and training.
• Collaborate with departments including sales, purchasing, finance, and logistics to understand their technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Participate in digitalization initiatives and process optimization projects to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy within the organization.
