About Robinson Immigration Law

Robinson Immigration Law is a boutique U.S.-based immigration law firm helping individuals and businesses navigate complex visa and immigration processes — including EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, E-2, and employment-based immigration cases.

We are a fast-growing, tech-forward firm committed to delivering an exceptional client experience through smart systems and efficient operations.

We are looking for a talented AI Automation Engineer to join our team. This is a high-impact role that will directly shape how our firm operates, helping us eliminate manual work, reduce errors, and serve clients better.

The Role

You will design, build, and maintain AI-powered automation systems that streamline our internal operations. This is not a research or model-training role — we need someone who can connect systems, build smart workflows, and deploy AI-assisted processes that actually run our day-to-day operations more efficiently.

You will work closely with firm leadership and team members to identify bottlenecks and convert them into automated solutions: from client intake to deadline tracking, internal communications, and more.

This is the firm’s first dedicated technical hire, although other members of the team have worked on implementing solutions on an ad hoc basis. We’ll likely be growing the team over the next year, including bringing in a senior engineering hire who will work alongside you on the firm’s longer-term technical infrastructure. The right person for this role is excited about being a founding builder and about working with more senior engineers as the team grows.

What You’ll Do

• Build and deploy automated workflows using platforms like n8n, Make (Integromat), or Zapier to connect our case management, CRM, email, and document systems

• Integrate AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into operational workflows for document generation, email drafting, data extraction, and client intake

• Design and maintain AI-assisted processes that handle repetitive tasks — form pre-population, status update emails, document routing, and deadline reminders

• Build verification and quality-control checks into AI workflows. In a legal context, this is as important as the workflows themselves.

• Connect third-party tools via APIs and webhooks — practice management software, Google Workspace, communication platforms, and more

• Prototype and iterate quickly on automation ideas, starting with high-impact use cases and expanding over time

• Document workflows and maintain clear technical documentation for all systems built

• Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience building workflow automations or integrations in a professional setting

• Hands-on experience with n8n, Make/Integromat, Zapier, or similar no-code/low-code automation platforms

• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript for custom logic and scripting

• Experience with REST API integration and webhook management

• Working experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) and prompt engineering

• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

• Self-directed with the ability to manage projects independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a legal, compliance, or professional services environment

• Familiarity with immigration or case management software

• Experience with AI agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, or similar)

Compensation

We offer a 100% remote environment, competitive pay and bonuses, direct collaboration with firm leadership and real impact on business outcomes, and the opportunity to grow with the firm as we scale our technology infrastructure.

Our Ideal Candidate

You are a builder who loves connecting systems and making processes run smoothly. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment where you will own projects end-to-end. You can take a business problem — “our intake process takes 3 hours per client” — and design a solution that has a measurable impact. You communicate clearly, hit your deadlines, and don’t need a lot of hand-holding.

Legal industry experience is a bonus, but curiosity, reliability, and strong execution matter more to us.

Please note that we were required to select a city in order to post this, however, we are happy to consider candidates from any location because this role is fully remote.

We look forward to hearing from you!
