DEVOPS ENGINEER

The DevOps team works closely with the Release and CI/CD Manager in Geneva and collaborates with other members of the Release and CI/CD team in Chennai, India, to support teams located in Switzerland, India, USA, and Italy .As a DevOps Engineer, your main goal will be to support and enhance release management and CI/CD best practices to improve delivery quality, efficiency, scalability, and deployment speed across MSC’s IT project portfolio. You will contribute to automation initiatives, infrastructure management, and deployment optimization within a dynamic international environment.

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and coordinate the implementation of release management best practices
• Maintain release management documentation and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
• Manage release dependencies and coordinate activities between distributed international teams
• Identify, manage, and resolve issues affecting release scope, schedule, and quality
• Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases across multiple platforms
• Automate operational and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability
• Manage and maintain CI/CD tools and platforms
• Develop, configure, and maintain pipeline configurations and deployment workflows
• Support infrastructure and configuration management activities
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, DevOps best practices, and automation strategies

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, release management, and/or project management environments
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, release management processes, and automation practices
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• DevOps Experience with PowerShell, Ansible, or other scripting and automation tools
• Knowledge of infrastructure asset management including networks, servers, operating systems, and databases
• Familiarity with software packaging and containerization tools (.exe, .rpm, Docker)
• Good knowledge of version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with code quality and analysis tools such as Sonar Qube
• Experience supporting deployment and integration activities across enterprise environments
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in an international and cross-functional environment
• Professional command of English (oral and written)
