What will be your role

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with strong knowledge in Python and Microsoft Azure to help lead the design, implementation, and operationalization of generative AI solutions for one of the most innovative clients in the financial sector.

You’ll be working closely with AI researchers, software engineers, and cloud architects to build robust, scalable, and secure Gen AI solutions that bring tangible impact. From prototyping with LLMs to deploying intelligent agents and fine-tuned models in Azure, you’ll have the chance to leave your mark.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing Gen AI applications using Python and LLM frameworks
• Leading implementation of solutions on Azure using services like Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, Azure ML, and Azure App Services
• Supporting prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation of generative models for different use cases
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical processes through the integration of GenAI
• Translating business needs into feasible Gen AI architectures with strong performance and responsible AI practices

What should you bring to the team

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or AI/ML roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, especially in the context of AI and data applications
• Solid hands-on experience with Azure (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, Azure Functions, Logic Apps)
• Experience with LLMs, Gen AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel), and model orchestration
• Familiarity with CI/CD, API development, containerization (Docker), and cloud-native development
• Proven ability to design and deliver production-ready AI solutions
• Ability to translate business challenges into AI use cases with measurable value
• Good understanding of AI safety, model evaluation, and prompt engineering
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement
• Availability to work hybrid in Lisbon
